'From Dinosaur Skull To Horsehair Mattress' Celebs Crazy Spending Habits

From Kanye West's gold-plated toilets to Paris Hilton's £260K dog house and Lady Gaga's £37.5K ghost hunting equipment, singers, actors and socialites have treated themselves to some bizarre things over the years.

And the latest celebrity to reveal their crazy spending habits was Drake, 33, who sleeps on a £314,000 mattress - and the bed comes complete with a whiskey and champagne bar built in to the headboard.

It took four people 600 hours to make the horsehair mattress, which is from Swedish company Hästens.

Drake, who's thought to be worth £120million, told Architectural Digest: "The bed lets you float, the shower lets you escape and gather your thoughts, and the closet makes you want to talk to yourself while you’re getting dressed."

Half a million pounds would buy an impressive throne - but Kanye West splashed out the same amount for four gold-plated toilets for his home.

It seems the Kardashian family do absolutely everything in luxury.

Kanye doesn't quite go as far as having the world's most expensive loo however. The Hang Fung Gold Toilet in Hong Kong comes in at a staggering £3.5million.

She's known for her glamorous, high-end style, but Victoria Beckham, 46, went one step further when she showed off a custom made iPhone worth around £26,000 in 2011.

Designed by Stuart Hughes, the flashy phone is reportedly covered in 150 grams of 24 carat gold.

Paris Hilton is known for her love of all things expensive, designer and luxurious - so it should come as no surprise that she splashed £260,000 on a dog house for her pets.

The heiress bought the 'doggy mansion' in 2009 and previously showed it off to her fans on Instagram.

The small building, which has a Spanish Colonial style, even has a balcony for the dogs to lie down on and look over the garden.

Oscar-winning actor Nicolas Cage, 56, came incredibly close to having a £220,000 dinosaur skull in his home when he reportedly outbid Leonardo DiCaprio for it in 2007 at a Beverley Hills gallery.

However, Cage was unaware at the time that the 67 million-year-old Tyrannosaurus bataar skull had actually been stolen.

He immediately agreed to return it to Mongolia, the BBC reports.

The Tyrannosaurus bataar lived around 70 million years ago and most fossils have since been discovered in Mongolia.

While most girlfriends would treat their partner to a ticket to their favourite sports game, or perhaps some new aftershave, Katy Perry, 35, splashed out £160,000 on a ticket to space for her ex Russell Brand, 44, in 2010.

Virgin Galactic representative Louella Faria told E! News at the time: "It is true. We are very excited to have him on board.

"There will be 17-inch diameter windows to look out onto. Passengers will be able to view Earth around 800 miles in any direction from space."

The rich and famous have had their fair share of creepy stalkers over the years, but Lady Gaga, 34, sparked shock in 2010 when she allegedly claimed she was being pursued by a ghost called Ryan on her Monster Ball Tour.

In fact, it scared her so much that E! previously reported she spent £37.5K on an electromagnetic field reader to detect paranormal activity around her.

A member of her touring crew previously told The Daily Star: "She's pretty terrified by this spirit, but more than anything he's annoying her as he won't leave her alone."

Miley Cyrus once reportedly decided to extend the favour to her prized dogs.

According to The Daily Star, the singer, 27, spent £100,000 on a Range Rover for her pooches.

A source reportedly claimed: "The dogs are banned from her cars, but they basically own the Range Rover.

“They’re free to jump around, leave their hairs over it, scratch it and have their blankets in there.

“Miley even joked that if she dies the Range Rover will go to them.”

Justin Bieber shocked fans in 2017 when he showed off his £12,000 rose gold grills on Instagram - and they were even studded with light pink sapphires.

The star, 26, got his pricey accessory from Gold Teeth God in Los Angeles, who posted the shots on their social media account.

Beyonce and hubby Jay-Z ensured their daughter Blue Ivy had one of the most incredible first birthdays in history.

The couple splashed out around £50,000 on a diamond-encrusted Barbie, which included 160 of the gems, plus white gold jewellery.

They also threw a lavish princess-themed party for close family and pals to mark her special day. The bash in New York included £60,000 of white and pink roses as decorations and a cake costing £1,500.

Another £20,000 is thought to have gone on accessories and toys for Blue Ivy’s young guests, including jewellery sets, princess costumes and playhouses.

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, 30, reportedly spent £14,000 on a custom made Savoir mattress previously, The Richest reports.

He had recently moved out of home to live alone, and it's claimed he was just 22 when he made the extravagant purchase.

The talk show host Oprah Winfrey has earned herself a relaxing bath.

She said: "I do have a hand-carved tub...[carved] out of marble and onyx."

"You can get a couple in there... However, it was carved to the shape of my body."
