Russian boy's Eyelashes touched his Lips when he was Born and Now is 1.7inch Long

An 11-year-old boy has eyelashes that are almost two inches long.

Muin Bachonaev's lashes touched his lips when he was born and are now 1.7 inches (4.3cm) long.

But the youngster, who lives in Moscow, is comfortable with his remarkable lashes - the longest of anyone in Russia.

'I live like anybody. There is no need to take special care of my eyelashes,' he said.

'I'm comfortable with them and do not have any difficulties.'

Although he is already in the Russian Book of Records for having the longest lashes in the country, he has loftier ambitions.

Muin loves to play football and dreams of becoming a great football player when he grows up.

His father Zaidullo Bachonaev, 45, who moved the family to Russia from Tajikistan in 2010,

'When Muin goes out into the street everybody pays attention to him. He is okay with it.'

He added: 'We showed him to different doctors and were told that he was okay and healthy.

'They said that the gene responsible for his eyelash growth worked differently from usual.'

Medical experts say the gene can be influenced by the drugs a woman takes during pregnancy.
