A property manager in China took matters into his own hands after a car was parked illegally at a residential block.
The woman allegedly parked illegally for 38 hours and refused to pay the fine to the residential estate in Benxi City.
Staff resorted to hiring a crane on August 22 and placed the vehicle on a roof.
According to Sina News, the car had been blocking part of the road and so the site's manager decided to punish the driver.
Residents rushed to the area to take pictures of the vehicle, finding the whole incident amusing.
Following consultations between the driver and the site management, the woman agreed to pay the fine.
A crane was called and the car was eventually lifted off the roof.
On Chinese social media site Weibo, people were impressed by the site manager's idea.
One user said: 'They weren't scared. The driver must have been dumbfounded.'
While another wrote: 'Ha! A small burst of temper.'
