French woman Bitten by Crocodile after trying to take a SELFIE with it in Thailand

A French woman is recovering in hospital after she was bitten by a crocodile while foolishly trying to get a selfie with it.

Benetulier Lesuffleur, 46, was bitten on the leg after tripping over next to the crocodile while taking the picture.

She was traveling with her husband along Haew Suwat Waterfall – at the Kho Yai National Park, in central Thailand trail when they spotted a crocodile sunbathing in a pond and attempted to take a picture with it.

The couple crouched near the reptile to take a selfie before the wife fell over, which startled the crocodile, resulting in it biting into her right thigh.

They ignored warning signs and went off the trail to try and get the picture, national park chief Kanchit Srinoppawan told Matichon.

Pictures show her being pulled from the water’s edge with a bandage on her leg.

She is now in hospital recovering from her injuries but is expected to make a full recovery.
