Drunk man falls from 3rd floor window and demands a cigarette before taken to hospital in Russia

He took his tumble after a heavy drinking session, falling from his flat in the city of Kemerovo, which is located in central Russia’s Kemerovo Oblast region.

People rushed to his aid when he landed, fearing the worst when they saw his shirtless body lying prone on grass outside the apartment building.

However, when they asked if he was ok, instead of groaning in pain he asked if anyone had a cigarette.

A by-stander who had a packet of smokes on his kindly offered him a fag and put it between his lips so he could have a drag while waiting for the ambulance.

According to witnesses, the man, who has not been named, is a local street cleaner, and he smelt of alcohol.

He is known to have a drinking problem.

Onlookers were not sure if he wasn’t moving because of being too drunk or due to the fact he had been paralysed.

Medics arrived on the scene and took him by ambulance to a hospital nearby to get treatment.

He has become a social media sensation after pictures of his fall appeared online, and had many commenting on what they would ask for if their number was up.

Netizen ‘Inna Malikova’ said: “Most people ask for a cigarette before death”, while ‘Aleksandr Sorokovskiy’ added: “I’d ask for a drink, if I knew I had to die.”

Kemerovo, the administrative centre of Kemerovo Oblast, lies at the confluence of the Iskitim and the Tom rivers.
