62ft long HAIR man spends 3 hours every other day washing it and also able to create a turban out of it
Having extremely long hair is not exclusive to the ladies only. An Indian man has developed the longest locks -- measuring 62 ft or 18 meters -- over the years, more than double the length of hair of a Chinese man thought have the longest hair in the world. Tran Van Hay, who died in 2010, had a 22ft-long hair.
The 60-year-old man could be seen walking around in his village in western India with a 'rope coiled' around his forearm. Take a closer look and you would know that it is not the rope but his locks. Sometimes he could be seen wearing his hair in form of a turban.
The man takes extra care of diet just to ensure that the hair gets proper nutrition from the food. He takes only vegetarian, home-cooked food and tries to avoid spicy food. "When out on work, I survive on fruits only. I never ever take outside food," Savjibhai Rathwa told.
After washing his hair for three hour on alternative days, Rathwa goes to the fields to dry them up. While his grandchildren would be holding out his locks to the sun for drying, he sits quietly in the shadow of a tree, smoking his water-pipe.
So far Rathwa has been brushing aside suggestions of applying for a Guinness Book of World Recording for having the world's longest hair, but he seems to have changed his mind now. "I intend to apply for it, if someone call help me with the proceedings," he said.
Much to his satisfaction, a local non-profit has agreed to help him with all the documentation required to apply to the Guinness.
