This is the moment a suspect in an Oklahoma police chase drove her vehicle directly into a police car, while an officer was standing next to it.
The drama started shortly after noon on Friday in Sand Springs when police were notified about a stolen vehicle being tracked by the company that owned the car.
Officers found the car soon after, but the suspect, identified as 41-year-old Stacy Ann Bunsey, would not pull over and led police on a chase that ended near an elementary school.
At that point, Bunsey tried to turn the car around and flee, and Sand Springs patrol officer Matt Stacy got out of his car to set up tire spikes, Deputy Chief of Police Mike Carter said.
But before he could, the suspect drove into the police vehicle, according to ABC.
'It was approximately three seconds after standing up outside his vehicle that the suspect rammed his patrol unit,' Carter said in a press release.
The statement continued: 'When the officer saw that the suspect was coming at him, he abandoned the plan to retrieve the tire spikes and instead drew his weapon, not knowing of the suspect's intention to hurt or kill him.'
Footage from Stacy's body camera shows him pulling out his gun and firing at the vehicle before the white SUV comes barreling toward him.
Stacy suffered minor abrasions and was treated at a local hospital.
Bunsey 'had to be tasered and removed from the vehicle' after impact, Carter said in the press released.
She is facing four felony counts, including assaulting a police officer, eluding a police officer, driving under the influence and possession of a stolen vehicle. She also faces a mindemeanor count of resisting arrest.
She is being held at Tulsa County Jail on a $79,500 bond. Her upcoming court date is unknown.
