The Teddy Bears' Picnic has been a popular children's song for generations, though it goes without saying it is a work of fiction.
But now a Russian model and her young daughter have brought the nursery rhyme to life - with a surreal set of photographs alongside a giant 1,300lb brown bear.
The images show the two feeding, hugging and even straddling the massive predator while they enjoy a picnic in a field.
The tame bear, called Stepan - who has been raised by a Russian couple in their home since he was abandoned at birth - was being photographed with a model by Olga Barantseva.
But Ms Barantseva claimed that the bear was so gentle, that the model known only as Irina - who had initially been nervous about taking part in the shoot - asked if her daughter, Katya, could be involved in the photographs too.
Stepan has even been raised as a vegetarian, so Ms Barantseva claims he was never inclined to take a bite out of his picnic pals for his own lunch.
She said: 'This bear is so tender with the models that the [fear] disappears very fast. And even a small girl after a short time of hesitation was happy to pose.
'Stepan doesn't know the taste of meat - he loves mozzarella and cookies. He is in constant communication with people and knows what kindness and care are.
'Irina was a bit nervous but that soon disappeared when she met Stepan, and she even asked if her daughter could join in. The shoot took about 30 minutes altogether. The bear is tender and sweet but he is a big animal and gets tired very easily.
'The bear is a real and professional actor and he [has] got used to work like this.'
