An elderly man has become a social media sensation after he was pictured wearing a crop top and hot pants while performing ambitious acrobatics during a pole dancing class.
Zhang Xida, a 66-year-old grandfather from Chengdu, the capital of south-west China's Sichuan Province, practices the fitness activity regularly in his local gym.
Mr Xida is said to have taken up the sport two years ago after he developed a crush on one of the dancers in the class.
He first participated in the fitness trend as a joke, but now Mr Xida is able to perform difficult poses on the pole, including holding himself upside down with one leg and doing the splits.
Feeling fitter and healthier, the grandfather said the sport has added 'colour' and the decision to wear a revealing bra and hot pants is for a 'bit of fun'.
China hosted the World Pole Dancing Championships this year after an increase in the number of people taking part in the sport.
The event took place in Beijing with dancers from across the world visiting the city, competing in men's, doubles and women's championships.
