An elderly man in Yuhuan County, Zhejiang Province collapsed on the street at about 2:43pm last Sunday. Over a span of eight minutes, four vehicles and 23 pedestrians passed him by but none of them, save one, tried to help.
When an elderly woman familiar with the man saw him lying there, she checked on his condition and then went to the man's family home to summon help - but by the time they arrived, it was already far too late.
A white sedan soon rolled up the street and right over the man, running one set of wheels over him, stopping to hesitate, then accelerating again and dragging his body under the rear wheels.
