The horrific moment a man pulled out a gun and calmly shot dead a police office searching his bag has been captured on CCTV.
The Chechen man was stopped in a hallway in the capital Grozny and asked to present his possessions.
In a chilling move, he duly stepped aside before walking behind the officer, pulling a gun from his pocket, and shooting him in the back of the head.
Before fleeing the scene, he stole the policeman's weapon and identification card.
Releasing the video, the Chechen government revealed the murderer and his accomplice have since been found dead.
