A 25-year-old Chinese man was swallowed up by a sinkhole in southern China, reports Reuters.
Surveillance cameras in Shenzhen city captured the horrifying moment Yang Xibing, a security guard at a residential compound, fell into the 65-feet deep hole on Tuesday.
He was rescued and taken to hospital but later died of his injuries.
Some locals said alleged illegal digging at a neighboring construction site may have caused the ground to open up.
Many residents of the compound have temporarily moved out as an investigation gets underway to determine the cause of the incident.
