Police in central Iowa plan to charge a teenager for driving in circles and causing his vehicle to crash and go up in flames.
The Urbandale Police Department says 18-year-old Ian Waseskuk was driving in circles in a parking lot Sunday night when his vehicle struck an air conditioning unit on the side of Urbandale Baptist Church.
A police officer pulled an unconscious Waseskuk from the 1995 Buick, which was full of smoke and fire. Police say the crash caused $10,000 in damage to the church. Waseskuk was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation. He will be charged with reckless driving when he is released.
