Australian woman performing acrobatic stunts on the wings of plane

Sydney residents who looked at the sky above Sydney Harbour on Thursday would have been astonished at seeing a woman standing on the wings of a plane, performing acrobatic stunts.
The Breitling Wing Walker display team members showed their skills over the city's iconic harbour by performing handstands as the plane rolled through the sky, Australia's Channel Seven reported. "We're girls that stand on the top wing and perform handstands as the planes leap and roll through the skies," Wing Walker Sarah Tanner said.

Tanner said she loves to perform the stunts ever since she saw air shows in England. "We absolutely love it. It's something all three of us we've see at air shows when we were younger back in England," Tanner said. "I remember from that point on I knew that's what I wanted to do,"

Tanner's colleague Danielle Hughes added. These types of stunts have been performed for over a century but there's a lot more emphasis on safety these days.
There are fewer dance moves than in the past, but it's still acrobatic adrenalin which makes regular flying inside a plane a bit dull. "Flying on airlines, yeah that's just boring for us. We want to get out on the wing, that's where the fun stuff is," Hughes said. Wing Walkers have performed all over the world, and they're due for another pass over Sydney Harbour on Thursday, according to Channel Seven.
