Manchester Police have released CCTV footage of a hit and run, which left a man with catastrophic injuries in August last year.
The footage shows a silver Vauxhall Corsa ploughing into three pedestrians at around 2.30 am in Manchester city centre. One of the pedestrians, Michael Ward, who was 28 at the time, received serious head injuries and was taken to hospital, where he still remains.
A 30-year-old man suffered a broken leg and a 32-year-old man received superficial injuries.
It is thought two groups of men left Silks club on a nearby street moments before the collision. One group of men then walked towards Clarence Street, where it is believed they got into the car involved.
As the other group was crossing the road, the car comes hurdling into them before driving off, leaving three men seriously injured and scattered across the road.
Since the incident, police have arrested six people: five men and one woman. They are now appealing for the public's help and have issued an image of a man they wish to trace in connection with the incident.
Maryrose Ward, the wife of Michael said: “The impact this has had on our lives has been truly devastating and our three children have been left with broken hearts. I go and see Michael everyday at the hospital and it is deeply upsetting to remember him how he was before the incident and to see how he is now."
