CCTV Waiter pouring BOILING WATER over female customer who complained about his service

A male waiter has allegedly poured boiling water over a female customer at a hot pot restaurant on August 24.

The victim, named as Ms Lin, had apparently complained about the waiter just moments earlier.

She received severe burns to extensive parts of her body after the incident at the restaurant in Wenzhou, eastern China, reported People's Daily Online.

Ms Lin, 29, was dining at a branch of 'Mr Hot Pot' restaurant with family members on August 24.

She got into an argument with a male waiter over the addition of water to the hot pot.

The waiter, 17, is named only by his surname Zhu.

He allegedly went into the kitchen and carried out a plastic tray of boiling water, which he proceeded to pour all over Ms Lin's face and body.

Shockingly, he then pulled the woman backwards in her chair, knocking her head against a counter in the restaurant and the floor before kicking her.

Two women dining with the victim immediately rushed to her assistance and dragged him away.

He continued trying to attack the woman even after six people restrained him.

Ms Lin was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment.

Photographs of her injury show extensive damage to her skin, which has already started peeling in large sections.

Meanwhile, the exposed new skin underneath is red raw.

Most of the burns appear to be restricted to her face, neck, shoulder and back.

Doctors at the hospital have applied gauze to the raw skin and bandaged it to prevent infection.

Her condition is currently stable but it is likely that she will require further treatment.

Police has arrested and detained Mr Zhu, who admitted to the act.

The incident is now under investigation.
