51 Passengers Vs Six-seat Van: Police cam shows construction workers packed inside van in China

Commuters can often be found moaning about their awful journey into work on a packed bus or train.

But count yourself lucky that you're not one of these construction workers in China.

Police were stunned to discover an incredible 51 people crammed inside a six-seat van that was spotted travelling slowly and swaying in Guizhou province on Sunday.

The driver said he was taking the migrant workers to a construction site and had packed them in the back of the van to save time, reported the People’s Daily Online.

Amazing police footage has emerged showing passengers in hard hats coming out of the van one by one over a period of two minutes.

The rear four seats had been removed from the back of the van, allowing 49 adults to cram in standing up.

Meanwhile, the driver and another passenger enjoyed the luxury of seatbelts in the two seats at the front.

Police said that the body of the vehicle almost touched the ground because of the weight.

The driver is now facing a severe penalty for the traffic offence.
